The Luuurve Dr...

I <3 Dr Marten!
Just bought these 'inky-blue' beauties from the Dr Marten shop in Cardiff.

Broken in inky-blue Dr Martens £105.00
My raspberry ones that I bought from the USA really hurt my feet so I have only worn them twice :(  I was going to wait until I had sold my raspberry ones before I got some new ones but the bad weather made me cave in and hand my card over. Although quite expensive they are soooooo worth it as they will last for life and these ones are from the 'broken in' range which makes them super comfy and they have a nice vintage look about them.

I was naughty and bought a new nail shade from Topshop too
Topshop nail varnish £6 in Eclipse

It gives a lovely blue-green iridescent shine that makes me think of mermaid's tails!
Now I'm off to stomp around the house in my new DM's

Magic nails...

Got creative with my nail art pen by adding stars to a dark blue base. Reminds me of the film 'Hocus Pocus'...perhaps I should have saved them for Halloween?
Hope everyone isn't getting washed away by the monsoon-like down-pours we have had lately...booo I want sunshine!

Sister, Sister...

I want to spread a bit of sisterly love today!
Currently my lovely younger sister Brodie is kindly letting me kip on her floor in Cardiff while I'm doing my work experience in Bristol. I came across these photos of us at Bournemouth beach as kids (I think I was about 6?)...don't we look cute in our frilly swimming costumes?
Please Note my swimming badge that is proudly emblazoned on my cossie'...I worked pretty damn hard to earn that :)
Have a little gander at my previous 'talented sister' post to see some of Brodie's illustration work...it's awesome!

The Ragged Priest, yes! yes! yes!...

I have been a little obsessed with the clothing brand The Ragged Priest for a while now. I am in the process of making my own 'ragged priest' inspired denim jacket at the moment (waiting on studs to complete it) which involved me going a little bit mental with the pink and purple dye. Pretty much anything that was white got the tie-dye treatment.

Anyways I am super happy as I popped into Topshop and managed to snatch up a Ragged Priest shirt for....wait for it....
£10!!!

Ragged Priest shirt- Topshop £35  £10

So happy!!
Now all I need to do is make some shorts ( as seen on Rihanna) and my obsession will be dealt with

...maybe?!

New tattoo and first week of intern-ship...

Okay let me just admit...the tattoo isn't technically new as I have had it for over 2 weeks but I wanted to wait until it was non-scabby before posting photos so you can appreciate it fully in all it's birdy' glory.

Before you ask...yes it DID hurt and my ribs bruised up a bit but I am really happy with it and it's healed really well. I had it done at Angelic Hell in Brighton and would definitely recommend it. The guy who did it was lovely and made it as quick as possible (much to my relief).

This week has been the start of my work experience at Motel and I have been super busy. The Motel girls are great and I am really enjoying it. Today I decided to team my cropped jumper with a spiked hair band which I purchased for £5 in Topshop. Although it make me feel a bit like I am wearing a crown of thorns, I  love how easily it can 'toughen up' girly pink pastels and princess hair.

Jumper- New Look £12.99
Spiked hair band- Topshop £5 in the sale

Food for thought...

So, I am all moved out of the Brighton student pad :( and I miss it already. I'm now living in Dorset for a week then I will be off to Cardiff for my work experience. To say thank-you to the bf for letting me stay, I try to cook as much as possible...I'm actually getting quite good at it.

Last night I made homemade goats cheese and spinach pizza from scratch with king size strawberries for dessert (the strawberries are literally the size of my palm!)
